Support For Students in the Secondary Program
Completing coursework through the Home Learners' Program can be
challenging. It is important to stay in communication with your
teacher(s) and to seek help as soon as you need it. There are a
variety of ways to get help from your teacher(s):
- online tutorials: Ms. Thompson offers online tutorials in
Science and Math using
Elluminate Live! These tutorials are offered on an
appointment basis. Please contact Ms. Thompson to make an
appointment--she may even be able to accommodate you right away. Access to the
tutorials is via the
Elluminate Live! button on the left side of this screen.
- drop in tutorial: Mrs. Reeder and Ms. Thompson offer a drop
in tutorial on Thursdays at the Home Learners' Program from 10 - 11:45am.
Depending on how many students are there, it can be a little busy, so it
is a good idea to bring some school work so that you have something to
do while the teachers are helping other students.
Note: the calendar at the bottom of this page
lists the times of the online and face-to-face tutorials.
- e-mail: contact your teacher via e-mail with your question.
The Contact page lists each of the teacher's
e-mail addresses. Please be specific in your e-mail; indicate
which course your question is about and which part of the course you are
in.
- phone: contact your teacher by phone with your question.
Our number is (250)770-7718. If your teacher does not
answer the phone, please leave a detailed voice message. Mrs.
Reeder and Ms. Thompson are at ConnectEd from Monday - Thursday, and Mr. Lindsay Monday - Friday.
- by appointment: contact your teacher to arrange for an
appointment.
