Reading Picnics

There are no ants and sandwiches at these picnics! The focus is families, friends and books, books and more books.
Queen’s Park School celebrates reading and literacy with three reading picnics during the year, one each term.
Parents and friends are invited to come to school to read with their children. The children meet in the gym, bringing blankets, stuffies and pillows to sit on. They bring their reading bags and their favourite books from the classroom or home.
Groups of families and friends sit together and read for pleasure and enjoyment, while celebrating the wonder of books and reading.
