  1. Watch the English 10 Provincial Results – These should improve with the Reading Goal / Strategies
  2. PMa 10 and AMa 10 – watch – Keeping in mind participation rates
  3. Science 10 – watch – Keeping in mind participation rates
    1. Dept goals okay but need to keep lab time!

 

  1. Mark differentiation by Gender

  1. Attendance by course and class – Dig into the causes of these issues deeper
  2. Lack of activities for Grade 10 students – Watch attendance (activity excused and track opportunities)
  3. Watch analysis questions (at end of each goal in School Plan) closely.

  1. Develop a new overall goal focused on sustainability that can be a target for all curricular areas and all staff and students.  A goal that would be both motivational in its nature and worthwhile for us all.

  1. Work to have specific instruction on sections of the character rubric within classes.  Brainstorm ways to teach the rubric.
  2. Ensure that students are made to understand the importance of the rubric –
    1. Employment
    2. Post Secondary

Use guest speakers and assemblies for instance.

  1. Continue to focus on School Culture with work like the Opening Day Event in Sept 2009 and carry on the work through the year more.
