Support Wiltse Elementary Environmental Mind Grind Teams by taking the pledge! Choose 3 ways you or your family can help the environment. Each Living Greener Challenge Pledge form filled out will help our teams come closer to winning an Ice Cream Party for the entire school.
You can use some of the good pledge ideas below or use your own:
Turn lights and computers off when they are not in use
Dry clothes on a clothesline
Wash clothes on warm or cold cycle, not hot. Wash only full loads
Turn down your hot water heater to 120F
Shorten showers by a few minutes to conserve hot water
Run the dishwasher and washing machine only when there is a full load
Take your motor oil, household chemicals and electronic waste to local drop-off depots
Walk or ride a bicycle for short trips in your neighbourhood
Use an electric or push lawn mower
Leave grass clippings on your lawn or compost them
Use rechargeable batteries
Donate old clothes and used cell phones
Compost food waste
Reduce what you buy and reuse what you already have
