REGISTRATION FOR 2026-27 

 

Please create an account in MySchoolBucks.  You can fill out the registration form and pay the $25 registration fee in MySchoolBucks.

 

Once your registration has been processed, you will receive notification of your students route and bus stop, and you will be required to pay the transportation rider fee based on whether your student is an eligible or courtesy rider.

  • Registration Opens: May 18, 2026
  • Registration Deadline for Route Planning: June 30, 2026
  • Full Payment Due: August 15, 2026

Routes are designed based on eligibility and registrations received by June 30. Registrations received after this date will be assigned to the nearest available stop or placed on a waitlist.

  

Registrations will be processed in order of priority based on the following schedule:

 

Priority 1 – Eligible Riders:  Students attending schools within their catchment area and living beyond the established walk limits.

 

Priority 2 – District Programs (Courtesy Rider):  Students registered in a District Program (French Immersion and Okanagan Hockey School).

 

Priority 3 – School of Choice (Courtesy Rider):  Students registered at a school other than their neighborhood catchment school.

 

Route design for the 2026-27 school year will take place between June 30th and August 15th based on the registrations received by June 30th.

 

Late registration will open again on August 24th; however, these registrations may not be processed prior to school start up, and routes will not be adjusted to accommodate late registrations.

 

In August, once routes have been confirmed, families that have registered AND PAID THEIR RIDER FEES IN FULL will be given their route and bus stop information

 

Transportation Fee Structure

 

Registration Fee - $25 per rider (non-refundable, payable upon registration)
 
Eligible Rider (attending catchment school and lives outside of new walk limits) - $75 per rider
 
Courtesy Rider (attending catchment school but lives within new walk limits, attends out of catchment school, attends program of choice) - $225 per rider
 
The first two riders in each family will each be charged the registration and rider fee; each additional rider will only be charged the registration fee.  

 

Registration and Payment Information

 

  • Registration and payment of fees can be made through MySchoolBucks. 
  • You will need to fill out a registration form and pay a registration fee for each student requiring bus transportation.
  • Rider Fees (Eligible and Courtesy) will be invoiced through MySchoolBucks once you have completed your registration and the transportation department determines your route.

 

*NEW* Walk Limits

 

  • Students in Grades K-7 living more than 2.5km from their catchment school are eligible for transportation 
  • Students in Grades 8-12 living more than 3.2km from their catchment school are eligible for transportation 

BUS SERVICE ELIGIBILITY

In order to establish an efficient and effective student transportation system that serves as many students as possible:

  • Only registered riders are permitted to board the bus.
  • Riders will be issued bus passes and will be required to produce, scan or tap them when getting on and off the bus.
  • Bus transportation service will not accommodate transportation to extracurricular activities or locations other than the student’s home address(es).
  • In order to maintain registration for bus service, registered riders must comply with the School Bus Riders Code of Conduct.
